17th Annual Camping Trip

It's time to register for the Camping Trip on August 13-15 at Black Moshannon State Park.

Here's what we need from you to register. (Get a copy of the brochure at http://www.tenthmaranatha.org/uploads/media/2010_Brochure.pdf.)

1. Travel Arrangements.
a. Will you come on the early vans (9:00 AM), the late vans (7:00 PM), or will you provide your own transport.
b. If driving yourself, what time will you be arriving?    :00 AM/PM on Fri/Sat

2. Money.
a. The cost is $60 per person.
b. There is a per person family discount of $10 times the number of siblings. In other words, if you have a sister coming along, each of you pays $60 - ($10 X 1 sibling) = $50.
c. There is a $10 Late Registration Fee after August 1. The idea is that we need to have you confirmed sooner rather than later so that we can accurately arrange transportation and food. As the date of the trip comes nearer, we reserve the right to refuse your attendance if you don't register in time.

3. Release Form.
a. We need your Liability Release Form. (We may already that it on file if you were on the Retreat this past spring. If not, get a copy at http://www.tenthmaranatha.org/uploads/media/liability_release_form-2010_02.pdf.)
b. Any other information that may be important to your health and well-being during the trip, such as allergy information.

SHED retreat details!

SHED Retreat, May 14-16
For all students in grade 11 and 12. We will depart from Tenth at 6.30 on the Friday evening and arrive back at Tenth for the 11am service on Sunday. The cost is $15 to cover gas and food, and students should bring spending money for the board walk!! We will be staying in the halls of Ocean City Baptist church on air-beds and there are showers too (so really its quite luxurious!). This will be a chance to end our study through Paul Tripp's "Quest for More"...if students have the book they are encouraged to bring it along with a bible and note-book. Some students (with sports commitments) will be coming up just for the Saturday night so perhaps you want to co-ordinate one vehicle doing this?? I have a full list of students but
I need definite commitments and payment this coming Sunday night.
If you have any questions please contact Jonny.

WINTER RETREAT UPDATE PLEASE READ AND RESPOND PROMPTLY

Parents and Maranatha Students
Given the possible interruption the impending snow storm may have on Sunday worship and the final opportunity to register for the winter retreat we have made the following contingency plans...

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND RESPOND PROMPTLY
(as yet very few students are registered for the retreat and we really need to let Camp Sankanac know our numbers on monday morning).

Students or Parents should e-mail Jonny at jmcgreevy@tenth.org before Monday at 9am to register that they will be attending the retreat and also inform us as to whether they are seeking one of the available scholarships...this request for a scholarship will then be followed up on the Friday evening by leaders who will collect memory work.

The Laibility Release form and "What to bring" information sheet has been e-mailed to parents and posted on our website. The relase form MUST be completed with full payment for the student to attend the retreat.

If at all possible you can mail their form and check, or scan and then e-mail, or even fax their form into the church, or drop it off during the week to Jonny.
(this will help us greatly given the high demand on registration and the great inconvenience it will cause us to be doing registration on Friday evening).

Parents are also reminded that we will be LEAVING at 6pm from Tenth on Friday, so your student would need to be here for 5.30 so we can deal with their payment and get them packed on the bus.

We really would appreciate your help with this process and greatly value your prayers for the retreat and how God will use it in the lives of our students.

Winter Retreat

The annual Maranatha Winter Retreat is just around the corner. From Friday, February 12th through Sunday, February 14th, Maranatha will be embarking on a weekend retreat to Camp Sankanac in Spring City, Pennsylvania.

For three days, we will have a great weekend full of fun, fellowship, and worship. David Clyde will be our speaker, as he challenges us all on what it means to be a discipleship of Jesus Christ.

We will be leaving from Tenth Presbyterian Church on Friday night at 6pm, and return to Tenth on Sunday around 4pm.

Registration and payments are due by Sunday, February 7th. For an official brochure, information on scholarships, and a list of what to bring, stop by the Delancey Lobby and pick one up on the Maranatha Bulletin Board. If you can't make it to Tenth and would like a copy of the brochure e-mailed to you, contact Ben Fallon: benfallon1@yahoo.com You can get a copy of the Liability Release Form on our Marnatha web site.

For more information, contact Jonny McGreevy or Dora McFarland.

Hope to see you there!
